(CNN) - the Dutch officials say an armed man opened fire at a shopping centre, Saturday killing five people and injuring nine others before the bullet in the head, journalist to the CNN subsidiary SBS reported.

Low Eenhoom, Mayor of Alphen aan de Rijn, has told reporters that the shooter, whose identity is unknown, fired an automatic rifle and committed suicide prior to the arrival on the scene of the police.

The Mall was evacuated. Four of the wounded are in critical condition, said Eenhoom.
